I have a career most covet. As a travel writer, I like to say that I “travel to write” and confess that sometimes I “write to travel.”
Since beginning, I’ve visited all seven continents, more than 60 countries, countless cities and acres of countryside. And from my travels, I’ve published hundreds of articles (many with my photography) in around-the-world newspapers and magazines, such as the Toronto Star newspaper (my column was entitled “Shopping Trips”), Time (Europe and Asia editions), Shape, Hemispheres (United Airlines’ in-flight) and Destinations Weddings & Honeymoons magazines, in addition to TraveLife.com and TravelSquire.com, E-zines with 100,000 monthly uniques.
As an author, my book Get Your Travel Writing Published is in its third edition and shares the inside scoop of the travel writing world.
I live in the San Diego, California, area with my husband, Kent, where we enjoy visits from our daughters, Erin and Kathryn, and their families. My all-time challenge is to take advantage of living in Southern California. The rest of the time, I travel.
